The Dynamic Duo!
CASM's resident chamber ensemble
Much like original “Dynamic Duo” Batman and Robin fight crime to create a better world for those around them, flutist Brandon LePage and harpist Rachel Miller are two strong musical forces who are ready to deliver peace, love, and a shared sense of humanity into the heads and hearts of all who are brave enough to listen.Together as the Dynamic Duo, these two bombastic players perform with an electricity that is palpable leaving audiences craving more.
Brandon and Rachel met while students together at Michigan State University and instantly felt the sparks that have fueled their fire to perform together as much as possible. Since their time at MSU, they have embarked on varied careers as orchestral musicians, soloists, and teachers while always coming together as the Dynamic Duo to collaborate on meaningful projects. They regularly appear on the Chamber Artists of Southeast Michigan concert series (being named “artists in residence” in 2024), have been featured performers with the Southwest Michigan Symphony on their popular Library Garden series, and they have several world premieres to their name (including most recently; “He Waits for You” by University of Michigan 3rd year student composer Peter Cohn).
The coming season features engagements at the Kerrytown Concert House, the CASM concert series, recitals at Universities around the country, and the start of a commissioning project to help Rachal and Bradon continue towards the goal of recording an album of music mostly written for or arranged by the Dynamic Duo.
