We are on a break until the new year.
Check out our "Performances" tab above for our "CASM in the offseason" performances happening in April and May of 2025!
A Brief History:
Originally called the “Concerts at St. Mary’s Chamber Series” from 2013 - 2016, CASM rebranded in 2017 as “The Chamber Artists of Southeast Michigan” performance collective with a mission that aims to serve the Downriver Michigan area by bringing together the highest caliber Michigan made classical musicians to present intimate live concerts, offer educational and scholarship opportunities, and to commission and perform new works of music specifically by composers from or trained in the fabulous state of Michigan. As of 2024, CASM has helped to bring 18 new works into the world and we look forward to continuing this work in the 2024/2025 season (TBA).
In order to better execute our mission, in 2017 CASM partnered with the Downriver Council for the Arts in Wyandotte, MI to secure a summer home where we present our three concert summer season in a space surrounded by local artists' work. In the summer of 2019 CASM held its first annual Summer Scholarship award. The Summer Study Scholarships were awarded to two high school students who were selected through a written essay and teacher recommendation by a City Council member of the city of Wyandotte, MI.
CASM expects to continue our educational mission by presenting and expanding our educational programs in the coming seasons. We look forward to a bright future filled with music making, communal bonding, and bringing joy, love, and togetherness through the celebration of Michigan pride.
